Hey Jim...THANKS for attending our Plow Day with your family again this year. Looks like the girls enjoyed a ride on 'The Wizzard' (built by my buddy Roy Fox). Thanks too Jim for the photos & video. Here's some photos and a video made by Thomas Mays from the FarmallCub.Com site :

I spent the weekend in Athens, TN and as usual enjoyed a good time with my daughter and her family at Mayfield Farms. I enjoyed a little plowing but at this event there are lots of family fun activities to do. We hiked the corn maze, watched the pig races, enjoyed the girls playing on lots of activities, took a lunch break and toured the Mayfield dairy plant in town, then back to the farm to swap stories around a warm fire in the cool wind. Attendance at the plowing and tractor show was a little light because mother nature decided to switch from summer to fall on Friday night and there was a threat of rain all weekend. Still lots to do and a great way to spend out doors. I was preoccupied with the granddaughters so I did not get many pictures. I will post a short video when I figure that out.

The girls hitch an "unusual" ride with a new friend.
The granddaughters in the maze.
Thanks again to the Mayfields for their hospitality and to Elliott for organizing the show and plow day. Jim |

Well guys...You Missed a BEAUTIFUL DAY of plowin' at Mayfield's. I disk plowed about an acre with my Farmall Cub (there's a lot more to plow tomorrow). The soil conditions are perfect, rich brown soil that rolls over easy. So that means that Jim Brown & I will pretty much have the whole place to ourselves...Elliott |
