the hydro on my 140 is "jerky" and slow in forward. The lever cannot be pushed fully forward. Can these problems be corrected through adjutments, and how would that be done? Al p.s.,brought home a 140 in a basket today. It was supposedly smoking, owner dis-assembled,lost interest, sold to next guy who kept it around awhile(and most likely lost a few parts),then sold it to me |

Al check for wear and make sure the spring is on the lever arm on the hydro, I would undo the linkage and make sure it is pulling the hydro lever all the way for forward. Good luck with the new 140. Gator |

And check the roller in the control cam on the transmission. In many cases the roller is stuck and has worn a flat spot on one side. |
