My 140 ID tag says that it is a 68 h3, but the frame has points cut out from factory, and a 14 hp k321. I think that maybe some one put a 68 tower on a newer frame 14 h1. Any thoughts on which way the restore should go? It will be a full restore but also be a worker. Also I have a 300 rear end and front axle, should I use them or keep the older style rear and axle. thanks for any input.

Steve, if you have the 68 frame, then I don't think the 300 rear end will bolt into it. The early frames have a riser on the left rear framerail where the newer ones are the same height on both sides.

Any pictures?? Whats the Serial #?

Leonard
