Chad, We have not done the 318 but did do the 317 and 332. The 317 was not bad but the 332 gave us fits getting the firewall back in with the engine in. Had to bend it a little to get back into place. Jim |

Jim, you got two fine machines sittin' there ready to show off. I'm looking forward to seeing them. The black weights look good too!! I took the firewall out of the 318 without pulling the engine to put new insulation on it from John Lang. Boy was that a knuckle skinner!! I'm not sure I can re-install it without pulling the engine. Have you had any luck doing it or do you pull the engines? |

Hopefully these are the tractors we will be able to bring to Alabama Plowday, if every thing works out with the trailer. Didn't get to do any plowing today, but did get them out in the sun for a while.

Drew, you couldn't wait either could you? I knocked the shine off my plow the other day as well. That ole girl is in good shape too!! I'm thinking we will have to trade a few rounds this time. Vincent, I'm glad to hear you got a job. Times are tough right now for a lot of folks. I'm a blessed man with a steady job, but I feel for the folks trying to get by the way things are now. We are all blessed to live in such a great country where we can gather together and have a blast with these little tractors. I can't wait!!!! By the way, if the 582 shows up, I might have to swap rides with you for a round!! |

Well guys some good news here, no I didnt buy another deere. I got me a job, THANK GOD, so Ill have to pick between bamma and tenn. I got my tires the other day and Ill be putting them on this weekend. I cant wait to get it in the dirt. Drew i cant wait to get back down there. I had so much fun this spring! Ive really enjoyed working on this 582 that it looks like Ill be draging home a 482. Its a basket case with no rear or eng. That ok cause I have one of each ready to go in! Ill drop a comand 18 in it but I wont use a pulling spring this time. That just too heavy for yard work or crusing threw the woods. |

I have seen it. You have quiet an arsenal of machines there!! ALL look good. Even the "off" brands. Just kidding!! I wouldn't mind owning a 782 myself. That 455 is one good looking beast. I hope you have it set up by plow day. I would really like to see one plowing. Looking forward to meeting you and hopefully several more new faces. |

Chad, Here are a few pics. You may have seen the 318 on the Nashville CL, as I have been trying to sell it. Looks like I'm going to have it through this winter! If the 455 is not outfitted with a 3-point, then I will probably have to bring one of the Cubs.

Will try to get some pics posted. Most pics are of Cubs. The 318 is very nice, but I'm working on getting the 455 ready for the dance. Need to get lugs, weights (front & rear), and Cat 0 lift arms. I traded my Brinly 3pt plow earlier this year, as I thought it was just too big for the 782. Sure wish I had it now! |

Hey Steven, We would love for you to come down. I have always wanted to see a 455 plow. You will have alot of people drooling at the mouth down here. Some of my friends especially. If you dont get to bring it, we would love to see the cubs too, we dont care. Bring who ever you would like, we are going to have a blast. I might also mention the Mayfield plow day thats in Athens TN. You can find it also in the upcomming events. Alot of the guys that come to this plow day are going to it also. I know me and Stewart are. Its the weekend before ours. BTW welcome to WFM. |

Hey Steven, Welcome to WFM!! It is good to see another member this close. I live in McMinnville, which is about 80 miles southeast of Nashville. I am going to the fall Alabama plow day for sure!! I went down in the spring and had a blast!! There are some great people on this forum and at this plow event. I bet Vincent is foaming at the mouth after reading about your cubs!! Since we haven't seen your tractors, could you post some pics? |

Hello, All! I'm new to WFM, but not new to garden tractors. I would really like to come down to the AL Plowday. I'm hoping to have my 455 setup to plow by next month. However, should I not have it ready, then I would have to bring my Cub 1650 or 782. I'm trying to round up a few other guys from the area if that is ok with you guys. Just let me know. Thanks! I filled the tranny today and had all intentions of putting it al back togeather, but couldnt get motivated. Well 2 kids threw a wrench in things. Ill be hard at it to morrow and then it looks like Im off to Panama City for some busness with a friend for a few days. |

Given an infinite number of vacation days, free time, no other obligations, gas money, hotel money and ambition, I would love to go on a "plow day tour" each spring and fall, but we all know that's not reality. Plan is to make it to one of the neighboring states this fall. Here is the beast though. Few weeks before Rockford, IA then at the plow day.

Drew now I know you talk to the cub guys late at night when your all alone, Rick told me LOL! So your cheating on you deere buddies! Ran into a lot of trouble today on the 582. This is my first time into a reared, to fix, instead of parting it. I wish I could resize the pics, man was it bad! The P/O had the brakes adjusted wrong and it wore into the casting wiping out he brake rotor and some other parts! The plunger is 116$ and the rotor is 150! Man you think they had green paint on them! I got everything i need from a guy in the Charlotte area so I hope to have it back up by the first of next week. The guy came today to tae my 110 away. I told him about the site and hes in the Atl area so maybe he will come in Nov. Real nice guy into restoring. Im trying to tell everyone I meet about it so drew is overwhelmed. |

Chad Weve been running this thing around all week. I cant get the chatter out of the clutch but the old girl will pull! I wish I could do the restorations as some do where they pull them down to the frame and shot them. I dont have patince to do that. I really am starting to like the 82 series. I parted out a 1863 a few monthe back and they are so easy to work on. Lots of room and all. I like that with 3 bolts and 4 on the drive shaft and the eng is out. I still like the looks of my narrow frame tractor, but if I can find another 582 with a bad eng Im gonna snatch it up. Ill break it in in charlotte in a few weeks. Im heading there on Sept 11 then to northern Oh, Mayfield, then finish the season off at Drews place. Oh and then back to Pa for Thanksgiving and some DEERE hunting |

Vincent, I am sorry to hear that you are out of REAL tractors. You could probably take what you are spending trying to keep those cubs running and adjusted and buy a good, maintenance free JOHN!!! Just a suggestion..... I'm just pokin' atcha!! I'm interested in checking out your 582. When they are restored, they are sharp machines. If I was going to own an off brand, the 582 would probably be my choice. |

Seems I didnt get it right the first time, but its better than they were. Then late next week Ill finish up the 582 and get it "Jeff" ready once again I may have bitten off more than I can chew, naaaaaaa not realy. I hope to have the 1872 up and plow ready for the spring. Jeff I know what your wepon is, a little water company worker let it out of the bag! LOL I dont know if its like that 582. Mines missing the aluminm wheels, fancy paint and it dose have the hp and to power for sure. I like a 318 for sure. They ride nice and like my 129 it has hydro lift. I like the cat ) 3pts, but the plows for them are high! I picked up an 1872 the other day and it will have the cat O plow and stuff on it. Its going to need some work, someone has been into the eng, lets hope they did everything right, so I plan on having it ready for the spring plow days. Im going to need to rebuild the power steering on it, it will be a while till its working. Drew I dont know about the rest of these guys but Im having fun! |

Me and Drew thought it would be best not to bush hog down the corn stalks afterall.Drew has been on chat with some plow day veterans and thats what they say also.It should help keep the plow clean from trash. |

Vincent, No this was our latest project we just finished.
Thats a picture of it the way we got it on May 17th. We got this 332 from a guy that was at the last Alabama Plow Day, maybe he will show up at this one also and bring his nice 430 with him. So Thomas if you are reading this we would love to see you at the next plow day would even let you take a ride on your old 332. |

I would like to bring the 317 and 332 it would b neat to see them both in the field at the same time but am limited to just one spot on the trailer, but you never know maybe I can find a way to get them both there. |
