I bought a used(abused?) 212 John Deere. The previous owner has unhooked or cut many wires on the tractor. It will not charge now, I need to get all these wires hooked back up correctly. Any help out there, thanks.

Henry, Welcome to WFM. As for the wiring, complete new wiring harneses are available from JD for not a lot of money. There are three different harnesses depending on your SN.

Henry - I agreed with Steve. If you need a new harness, get one from JD. Too much hassle to make one.
